A simple yet effective way of getting rid of the cold is a hot water inhalation. Add a few drops of the oil to a vaporizer and steam up your room or bathroom with the essential oils. Now all you need to do is step into the steam room and inhale the oils in their dilute form. The oils will help to dilute the mucus and it will easily melt away. Do not expose yourself to the steam for more than 20 minutes.
Another way you can get relief from the cold with essential oils is by rubbing them on your chest, temples and back. Cover yourself well and get a few hours of sleep. You can also pour a few drops of the oil on your pillow to keep inhaling the oils during your nap. You will wake up feeling refreshed.
Add lemon grass leaves to your tea or soup. It is a healthy options and adds flavor to your food. It helps to cleanse the palette of any bitter taste that you may experience.
