The connection between two bones is called a joint. It is actually a place where two or more bones contact. A fluid called synovium and smooth cartilage forms the padding in the joints where the bones don’t rub. The increase of age, injury, sitting in the wrong way etc are some of the factors that are responsible for the wear and tear of the joints.Controlling weight: One of the best ways to maintain a healthy joint is by controlling one’s own weight. By maintaining a healthy weight the pressure on hips, knees, and back is much under control as they have to support some if not the full body weight. Hence there is much less small tear of muscles which break down the muscles.
Exercise: This is a way when one can control the weight of the body as well as reduce the stiffness of the joints. Aerobic exercises can reduce the swelling of the joints. Walking, swimming, cycling along with strength exercises (like weight lifting) at least twice a week, mixed with stretching and relaxation exercises – all these varied exercises help in keeping the joints fit and relaxed.
Muscle building: Some exercises like weight training exercises help in strengthening the muscles and ligaments that surround the joints thereby cushioning the joints. If the muscles are strong enough, then the joints don’t have to take the throbbing, especially those of the knees, which have to carry the whole weight of the body. Descargar Imagenes Top gratis
Adding ice: After exercise, application of ice is necessary to prevent any swelling or pain in the joints since during exercise; a fluid called synovial fluid is drawn to the joints. But if the fluid sticks around too much, cracks are formed in the joints and it is when icing becomes a necessity.
Abdominal muscles: The more the are strong, the more we are less prone to fall off-balanced thereby hurting the joints. Hence our daily routine exercises must have the activities that would strengthen the core muscles of the stomach.
Healthy diet: Eating the right thing and in proper proportions help in building strong bones. Strong bones help us to keep the balance of the body on the feet. Intake of omega-3 fatty acids which are found in fish can not only help to reduce the symptoms associated with joint pains but also the change in the levels which are responsible for the inflammation.
