Understanding Healing Touch Therapy

We are social animals and feel the need to be amongst others of our kind. To this extent we crave human contact and have become dependent on it physically as well as mentally. It is the first form of communication between mother and child and this continues to be a mode of communication even in the subconscious. A simple touch sends emotions though and this can be a cure for several ailments. We are now moving towards an age where touch is a form of therapy and it has proved to be curative for migraines, stress and to improve the overall quality of life.

Wonder what is the connection between a child crying and seizing to cry when held? It is the touch. When you touch a person you are transferring your energy onto that person and it is your faith or belief that the person will not be in pain any longer that transfers onto the person and helps the person to get healed.

There is a simple psychology behind this. When a person is stressed out or depressed he begins to feel a lack of social contact and feels left out. He is psychologically seeking help but due to pride or inability to ask for help he begins to feel insecure. When this happens he begins to feel depressed. Touching this person gives him a sense of reassurance that there is some help available to him. Touch therapy is used in the form of massages. When a person gets stressed or depressed the muscles in the body get tense and the muscles harden. Massaging the body helps to relieve the tension in the body and increases blood circulation thereby easing the stress. Blog sobre gatos

Touch therapy is very beneficial to premature babies. They loose contact with the mother in the womb when they are born and this leads to a sense of insecurity as they have not spend adequate time in the womb. When a mother touches her child to feed her, bath her or simply sit and talk with her she builds a sense of security with the child. This helps the child to grow and develop. It also reduces the risk of illnesses in these children.
