Boehringer Ingelheim has reinforced the report Pharmacies that change the lives of their patientswith the launch of four podcasts that summarize the main topics that are collected in the study, which pretends to be one more tool in the care of patients, accompanying them, also, when they come to the pharmacy. In this way, the company expands the scope of the report in which it analyzes the behavior, needs and motivations of the people who come to the pharmacy and makes it accessible by audio. The four podcasts will be published weekly and will be available on the website With you at your pharmacy.

In line with its purpose of placing the patient at the center of its strategy, Boehringer Ingelheim is committed to new formats that summarize the large thematic blocks contained in the report: Pharmacies that change the lives of their patients. The patient profile of community pharmacies, recommendations for pharmacies, revolutionary ideas to improve the establishment and possibilities of the pharmacy of the future become protagonists in this series of four podcasts, of about three minutes each.

Knowing the needs of key patients to grow (available since 22 July)
The pharmacy is confirmed as a key point of attention to the health of people, a reality that has been exacerbated during the COVID-19 pandemic. But does the pharmacist really know the profile of the patients he attends? The podcast on the different patient profiles that come to the pharmacy reveals the needs, objectives, as well as the expectations of the users, that the study distinguishes between regular patients (goes at least once a month to the pharmacy) and occasional (goes every 2 to 6 months). Knowing these profiles and differentiating them, it is key to being able to loyalty users and position the pharmacy as a reference place in the care of their health.

Ideas practices implemented by the pharmacy itself (available since 29 July)
In another podcast, small recommendations are made available very easy to implement by the establishment itself that can add attractiveness to the pharmacy and improve the experience of its patients. The podcast details value-added services, such as purchases through digital channels or the creation of a 10-minute patient-specific microcitation service to optimize the time of the user and the pharmacist. These are effective short-term actions that will improve the experience of pharmacy users and help create a trust link between user and pharmacist.

Revolutionary actions for life-changing pharmacies to their patients (available since 5 August)
In line with practical ideas, other podcasts address more disruptive actions that pharmacies can apply for transformation. Establish tools for the patient to check the product stock before going to the pharmacy or the possibility of connecting the pharmacy information with the patient's medical history so that the pharmacist can know some details, such as the prescribed medication, would be some examples. As the study concludes Pharmacies that change the lives of their patients these are ideas to go one step further and that can make the difference with the competition and allow to make a jump of quality in terms of user experience.

The pharmacies of the future (available since 12 August)
The pharmacies have begun an evolution without return, partly accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, as noted in the report of Boehringer Ingelheim. In the fourth and last podcast, listeners will be able to make a reliable picture of how the pharmacies will be changed and will continue to change, leading to a more innovative model with a greater role in the health ecosystem. A necessary transformation that has the same goal as always: patient care and quality of life.
