Emcesa has several certificates that credit it as a company committed to meeting the highest standards in its processing processes
Spanish consumers are increasingly keen to learn about the processes of making companies, especially in the meat sector. And it is that ensuring animal welfare, respecting the regulations indicated in each sector, can directly guarantee the good quality of the products they obtain.
Emcesa, company specializing in the production of meat products, offers its customers products with the highest standards of quality and food security. To do this, it has the IFS Food Certificate (International Featured Standards Food)held since 2012, accrediting high standard and homogeneity in the application of standards and procedures to ensure the quality, authenticity and safety of each product that is produced and packaged in the facilities of the company, both for purely meat products and combined products of different types of food (cereals, vegetables, etc.).
Similarly, Emcesa has certified her Specific Autocontrol System (SAE) for the export to third countries the quality and safety of products exported by the company to countries outside the European Union is further guaranteed. This certification contributes to facilitating procedures among the various agencies involved in export arrangements and ensures that the company has all the necessary information to ensure compliance with the requirements of the country to which they wish to export. The aim of the company is to increase the weight of the exports in its turnover by 12% by 2024.
“These certifications represent an important milestone, allowing Emcesa to be a competitive company in the international market, in addition to continuing to be one of the leading Spanish meat companies. We always put all our efforts to ensure the quality and safety of the products, but it is important for us to have external certifications, as they help us improve in our processes and minimize the risks in production,” he explains. Javier ManceboEmcesa's CEO.
On the other hand, in recent years there has been a social demand and a major legislative development on animal welfare. This has required the meat industry an important effort to adapt to new regulatory requirements.
Emcesa has long been counting on IAWS stamp, which guarantees compliance with the legal community animal welfare. And it is that only those products from a farm whose commitment to animal well-being is complete have this seal. In short, when you consume white-layered pork or its derivatives certified with this type of seal, we consume products of highest quality, healthy, safe and produced with low environmental impact and according to the well-being of animals.
