“Extravaganza” is the name of Herbalife Nutrition’s annual conventions. Barcelona has once again become the chosen destination to gather and host the more than 11,000 distributors from different countries in Europe and Africa

During the 23rd, 24th and 25th of September, Barcelona has been the meeting point for more than 11,000 Herbalife Nutrition distributors from all over Europe and Africa.

The so-called “Extravaganza” are the annual conventions that Herbalife Nutrition makes on all the continents in which it is present with the main objective of bringing together its network of commercial distributors and presenting to them the novelties that are about to go to the market. To this end, up-to-date courses are offered for sales, well-being, nutrition and customer service, complementing them with various presentations, group activities and leisure. With a fully experiential format, the new products could be tasted in firsthand in the enabled areas, with activities around them.

Social and environmental responsibility has been present throughout all these formative days, within the company's commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals. During the convention, donations have been collected to support the nutritional training and support programs for vulnerable families that Herbalife Nutrition has been running since 2006 with SOS Children's Villages and initiatives have been designed that combine responsibility with sport, such as the Teruel – Barcelona bike tour that 15 distributors of the company have undertaken, getting more than 5,000€ for this program.

In terms of environmental impact, the main novelty of the event was the introduction of a self-registration system, which led to a decrease in all the negative effects for the environment that involve displacements and transfers in different types of transport. In addition, the automated system allowed the printing of credentials on recyclable and sustainable paper, unlike the usual standard non-recyclable plastic credentials.

On the other hand, an effort was made to ensure the availability of recycling containers at different points. The minimum waste of food was also strictly controlled, returning all surplus products to the warehouse by keeping them in a controlled environment and in perfect conditions of consumption.
