Herbalife Nutrition sponsors the new J70 class and a 80-class boat at the 39th King Mapfre Cup

As part of its commitment to sport and equality in all disciplines, Herbalife Nutrition will sponsor and support the newly incorporated class, J70, and a boat in the J80 female category

The Copa del Rey Mapfre will give the shoot-out to its 39th edition on July 31, a sporting event in which more than 100 teams and 1,000 sailors from 29 different nationalities will participate. During the six days of competition, until 7 August, 11 categories will succumb the waters of the Bay of Palma to reach port and rise with the prize.

In addition to the IRC, BMW ORC 1, BMW ORC 2, BMW ORC 3, ClubSwan 50, Swan 45, ClubSwan 42, ClubSwan 36 and the Maxis -the latter will compete as an invited class-, the J70 category, the world's largest and most competitive monotype with more than 1,200life crafts built that this year will have the sponsorship and support of the specialized multinational nutrition. Tara López, Director General of Herbalife Nutrition Spain, says that for the company it is “a real privilege and honor to be able to accompany in this race to the J70s, that this year premiere category”.

In addition to the J70, Herbalife Nutrition will have representation in the Mallorca Sotheby’s Women’s Cup J80 – an entirely feminine class – giving name to one of the ships formed by Marina Gallego, Cata Homar, Magdalena Bonet, Sofia Velasco and Olimpia Corral, of the Balearic Sailing Federation.

“To be sponsors of one of the Spanish teams of the J80 is a source of pride for us, and we hope that for them it will be an impulse to get to port in good position,” says Tara López, for whom this sponsorship is “a step further in our commitment to sport, active life and equality in all disciplines.”
