Acrylic nails are made up of two types of elements such as ethyl methacrylate and dimethyl methacrylate. The nails made up of ethyl methacrylate are expensive and safe while the other one is the cheap version which may cause harmful side effects.

Clean the natural nails and trim them down or file to make them short and push the cuticle back. Use a non-acetone remover to wipe out the traces of previous nail polish. Buff the entire nail surface with a filing block to make the nails slightly rough.
Now match the size of the natural nail‘s tips with the acrylic nails and get the exact match for each nails. If there is difficulty in getting the perfect match then choose the wider one and file them down to match the size.
Put on a drop of glue on the tip of the real nail and keep the artificial nail tip on the natural nail tip and move back the smile line till the indentation hits the original nail. Hold the nail till the glue sets and while placing the artificial nail care should be taken to avoid air bubbles formation otherwise it may weakens the nails and even cause fungal infection. Pour some acrylic liquid to a dish and dip a brush in this liquid and wipe the tip of the brush on the sides of the dish to remove the excess liquid and then dip the brush in white acrylic powder which will form a ball on the brush. Apply the ball on the nail tip over the smile line and it should touch the corners of the nail. This provides nice curve just like the natural nail.
Now take the clear acrylic powder and then dip the brush damp and wipe out in the acrylic liquid in this powder. Spread the ball formed on the brush on the middle part of the nails and then on the cuticle area with out touching the cuticle. Touching the cuticle with this may weaken the nails.
Once the acrylic is set file the nail tips to remove any bumps formed while setting the nails and use white buffing block to smoothen the nails. Apply some cuticle oil on the finished nails daily to make them flexible, supple and durable.
