From a time to this part the spa tourism has more and more adepts and is that there is no doubt about the benefits that their treatments bring to the organism, with an a la carte proposal of each ailment.
As experts in the matter, with two spa hotels, one at Ribeira Sacra and the other at the Císter Route, from Iberik Hotels insist on the importance of knowing the different types of water used in the hydrothermal circuits and their properties, to go to the most appropriate according to the physical need that is available.
And it is that each spa works with a different type of water, more, each hydrothermal center is classified according to the type of water it uses.
A classification that emerged from Termalia, the International Fair of Thermal Tourism held in 2019, in which a working group consisting of 21 specialists from nine countries (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Spain, Mexico, Panama and Portugal), met to create a glossary of Thermalism and Wellness and identify the different types of water:

They are waters from a natural or perforated source, constant in their composition and flow, and that, by their chemical, physical, chemical and microbiological composition, have therapeutic properties.
TERMAL WATER
They are waters in which their rising temperature is higher, at least four degrees centigrade to the average annual temperature of the place where they are born, constant in their temperature and flow.

HUMAN CONSUMPTION WATER / CORRIENT WATER
They are waters that come from a public network or own network, which meets the criteria of potability, and which, either in their original state or after treatment, can be used for topical consumption and use. Diets, plans and health
According to these selection criteria the water that Iberik Hotels employs in its spas is sulfurated and sodium bicarbonate in Iberik Augas Santas and sulphated in Iberik Rocallaura and based on its properties has designed a complete treatment program.
