Calidental, one dental implant clinic in Sevilla with dentists in Palomares, echoes the news released by a group of scientists from the University of Washington. These scientists, belonging to the dental school of that university, have created a caramel with properties for the strengthening of teeth and teeth whitening.

With this new sweet, scientists intend to rebuild the enamel of the consumer's teeth while they are whitened. To get this advance in the dental world, the team of scientists will launch clinical trials with this candy. The caramel contains genetically modified amino acids, phosphorus ions and calcium, components of dental enamels.

Candy components will be mixed with the damaged enamel of the consumer to repair it without this process affecting the softest tissues in the mouth cavity. According to these experts, with two candies a day you could rebuild the enamel and with one day a healthy tooth layer would be maintained. According to Professor Sarikaya, these studies are aimed at achieving three objectives. The first would be to demonstrate the effectiveness of this product. The second objective is to create a large documentation on this research and, the third, compare the whitening effectiveness of caramel with respect to the already existing and marketed whitening treatments.

This group of researchers wants to go further and create products for use in dental clinics or clinics. Finally, they also intend to manufacture a toothpaste to be able to use without a prescription. For this latest product there is still no date for its introduction to research.
