By the way, the azahar water, the soul of this biscuit next to the orange, is very easy to find. You can buy it at the supermarket, in herbals, pharmacies, online shops...
To make this orange cake and azahar water you will need:
- 250 gr of pastry flour.
- 170 gr of sugar.
- 1 natural yogurt (I use 0%).
- 50 gr of butter at room temperature.
- 2 eggs L or 3 eggs M.
- 1 big orange.
- 1 baking powder envelope (Royal©️)
- 1 teaspoon of azahar water.
- A pinch of salt.
These quantities are perfect for a 20 to 23 cm mold. If you want to make the recipe traditionally, preheat the oven to 180° with heat up and down. Scratch the orange skin without reaching the white part so that it does not sour and mix with the powdered sugar. Peel the orange, cut it in pieces and put it with an arm shaker or an American. Add the remaining pulp to the mixture of sugar and grating. Blow the eggs and cut the butter in pieces. Understand everything very well, along with yogurt, until you get a smooth and even mass. Stir the flour with the help of a colander and add it next to the yeast and pinch of salt. It moves all very well with the help of a tongue until we grow in the mass. Stir a bit of butter in the mould, sprinkled with a little flour, pour into it the dough of the cake and bake 35 to 45 minutes (depending on your oven).
If you want to do this with your Thermomix©️o Monsieur Cuisine Plus©️ just follow the following steps:
- With a peeler, remove all the peel to the orange without reaching the white part. In the glass it sprays sugar next to the orange peel for 15 seconds/ progressive velocity 5 to 10.
- Add eggs and orange pulp and program 3 minutes/37o/speed 5.
- Enter the butter at room temperature, azahar water and yogurt inside the glass and mix 5 seconds/speed 4.
- Add flour, yeast and salt and program 15 seconds/speed 3.
- Pour the mixture into a butter mold and a bit of flour and bake (with the preheated oven) 180o from 35 to 45 minutes, depending on your oven.
Don't forget that in the first 20 minutes you can't open the oven door. If you have a very potent oven (such as mine) and you don't want the biscuit to be soaked, cover it with aluminum foil and remove it 20 or 25 minutes. You will see that the biscuit takes a golden color, perfect, at the end of the cooking. You'll know it's done when you put a stick in the middle and get out clean. Don't forget to get it out of the oven and let it cool in a grid. Wait about 10 minutes before demolishing, or until the biscuit stops being hot. Just let it cool down and sprinkle if you want a little glass sugar on top and accompany it with a good coffee or chocolate.
