A few days after the celebration of Valentine’s Day, the pumpkin producers of Spain and Portugal that make up the ‘Love Klabaza’ Project, together with the seed company Sakata Seed Ibérica, have launched a new initiative among the fruit and vegetable distributors of wholesale markets, to continue to promote the consumption of pumpkin
From Love Klabaza are driven by three major actions. On the one hand, they have been present in wholesale markets to deliver promotional material to distributors who market pumpkin, with the aim of boosting the sale of this vegetables among their customers (fruits). The fruit and fruit machines thus become the main promoters of the product, rewarding its customers, the final consumer, with gifts, draws and merchandising when buying a pumpkin.
For Love Klabaza there are different types of love. There is the love of mother, father, friend or friend, grandmother or grandfather and even love for a pet. Recognized influencers of Spain and Portugal, who represent each of these loves, have a special pack, composed of a pumpkin, bag and merchandising of Love Klabaza, to declare their love giving pumpkins.
On the other hand, Love Klabaza has launched on its social networks a sort of gourmet experience. To participate, users only have to follow the Instagram account of the project and name two friends in the publication of the draw. In addition, those who share a picture with the hashtag #sime wantdamecalabazas will have more options to take the prize.
What is Love Klabaza?
Love Klabaza is an initiative, which took place last year and was presented at the last National Congress of Fruits and Vegetables of AECOC held in Valencia with the slogan “If you love me, give me pumpkins.” and the web www.loveklabaza.com, has already developed to date promotional actions in the Hallowen and Christmas campaigns, both among the general public and a dozen schools.
In fact, both in the web portal and in the social networks of Love Klabaza, there are already stored a hundred video tutorials, recipes, tips and curiosities about the product, in which the nutritional properties of this vegetables that has a high content in beta-carotenes, vitamin A, fiber and also is a very low vegetable in calories and fats.
Another of the properties of pumpkin is that it is a product of proximity that has good conservation and can be consumed all year round, which reduces the environmental impact and dependence of countries of the southern hemisphere for export.
