The feeding group Shukran Group and the Galician company Posada Marron Glacé, they have reached an agreement to launch the first hummus 100% chestnut. The Galician company, for more than 60 years transforming the chestnuts into its star product, the glace brown. Posada is a national and international benchmark in the food industry and has been awarded for three consecutive years with the Gold Medal by the World Quality Institute. On the other hand, Shukran Group has achieved great success and recognition in recent years thanks to the high quality and variety of its hummus.

 

Patricia Gallego, CEO of Shukran Group explains that “we currently have a wide range of hummus flavors, such as the traditional, black garlic, truffle and basil. In recent years Shukran Group has been characterized by reinventing a product with a high demand like the hummus. We are convinced that this product is already part of our diet. Consumers are aware of the properties that this food has and how healthy it is, for that reason we have to offer them more varieties and therefore this alliance with Posada Marron Glacé seems perfect.”

An alliance that will serve to launch the first hummus 100% chestnut, using top quality raw material from Posada and elaborated with mime and respect to get an exquisite product. The 100% chestnut hummus will have the quality seal of Posada and Shukran and will be on sale by 2020. The product will be marketed in Spain, but it will also be exported to other European countries and Japan.

The intention of both companies is to have the product in December to take advantage of the Christmas campaign. “It is a perfect time to launch this product, the baklawas are sweets that are consumed a lot in winter and that of chestnuts we are convinced that it will succeed,” says Shukran CEO.
