Barcelona, Spain, will host from 18 to 21 November IV edition of Biostimulants World Congress at the Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I – Palacio de Congresos de Cataluña, which organizes the prestigious magazine NEW AG INTERNATIONAL. This event, the most relevant on biostimulants at the international level, has already been consolidated as a global platform in the sector after its good reception in the previous editions held in France, Italy and the United States. The participation and involvement of sponsors and exhibitors has been a success, according to the organization, 40 sponsors are expected to participate in three categories of gold, silver and bronze, more than 100 exhibitors and more than 1,000 delegates.
This biannual meeting, of a scientific-technical nature, will bring together the leading international scientific experts to analyse and review the latest knowledge, trends, innovations or challenges of the biostimulant sector. Biostimulants are key in future agriculture, not only because they favour economic development but because they adapt to the sustainable development goals of the UN to promote and ensure sustainable and comprehensive agriculture.
The days will be held in five different sessions. Each session will address an issue. Thematic axes are: the use of biostimulants to improve the performance and tolerance of abiotic stress; the use of biostimulants to improve the nutrition, development and quality of plants; biostimulation mechanisms and structure-function relationships; the development of new biostimulants: new goals, sources and detection tools; and finally good practices, market trends and legislation.
The meeting offers an open programme for public participation, as well as institutions or agencies that can present communications in Oral or Poster format until May 10. The Scientific Committee of the Congress made up of the president Professor Patrick du Jardin of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Gembloux, University of Liège (Belgium) and the co-chairs Dr. Jian-Kang Zhu of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dr. José María García de la Universidad de Navarra (Spain) y el Dr. Patrick Brown of the University of California, Davis (USA) will review the summaries and notify the authors of their acceptance by July 2.
The reduced registration fee will be open until 26 July. This fee includes: admission to poster presentations and sessions; delegate bag and documentation; complimentary WiFi; use of the official Congress App to access the list of delegates to pre-reserve meetings; presentations of speakers (post-conference); welcome reception, lunches and coffee breaks according to the conference program.
