The event can be followed from regenerasummit.com, organizing entity, and has the objective of bringing together more than 50,000 health professionals as assistants

The Summit will have 12 top-level speakers in Microbiota, who will discuss the increasingly important role of microbiota in our health. “Microbiota: light and darkness in depression” of the co-director of Regenera, Xavi Cañellas; or “Microbiota, gluten and celiac” by Dr. Sari Arponen, author in addition to the book “It is the Microbiota, idiot”, are two of the papers that can be followed in this Summit that already reaches the second edition.

The most veteran among the speakers will be Dr. Blas López Rueda, vice president of the Spanish Association of Food and Microbiota Intolerances, who together with his team has developed this 2021 a test with which the Covid and the specific strain that the patient has been infected can be diagnosed, after sequencing the genome of the more than 300 coronavirus and all its variants.

Microbiota includes all the microorganisms that the body has: bacteria, fungi, protozoos, viruses, etc. The intestinal microbiota is the large metropolis of microbes residing in the intestine, the place where most of these old friends are invisible to the human eye. In addition, a multitude of diseases such as allergy, asthma, eczema, diabetes, obesity, inflammatory bowel diseases, autoimmune diseases, depression, various types of cancer or caries, among others, are associated with an alteration of the intestinal ecosystem, alteration to which is called dysbiosis.

In addition to the first edition of the Microbiota Summit, Regenera has held free events for health professionals and patients over the past few years, such as the SIBO Summit 2020, the Women's Hormonal Health Congress, the Summit Covid-19, the Oncology Summit or the Summit of Integrated Medicine, all of them with figures close to or above 20,000 registered in more than 100 countries.

Now, with the aim of reaching the 50,000 registered in this 2nd Microbiota Summit, Regenera is also investing in a single Microbiota Laboratory Project, which will allow to correlate microbiota test with possible diseases in different population groups. This project will be presented to the world at the beginning of the summer of 2022, once the sequences of all the samples will be collected from the different population groups.
