I get a lot of questions about why my permanent nail polish is coming off all over my post 10 mistakes with permanent nail polish.
As many of you ask, I thought I’d devote an article just to enamel lifting. everyone must to research what happens in the treat. I wish I had an answer for all of them but it’s very difficult without seeing how you do the enamel one by one or what products you use.
PERMANENT POLISH PEELS LIKE A STICKER
When your permanent nail polish lifts off like a sticker, something went wrong with the process, you have a problem with a very greasy nail or you are using a poor quality product.
1. PRACTICE IS THE BASIS (AND KNOWING HOW TO PREPARE THE NAIL)
If you’re just starting out and the permanent polish is peeling off, chances are you’ll need more practice. Even if you think you’ve followed all the steps correctly, chances are you haven’t.
Properly prepare the nail in 5 steps:
- Disinfect your hands (yours and your client’s) with alcohol spray. Let dry.
- Push back cuticles with a stainless steel pusher. Make sure to remove all traces of the cuticle on the nail, this is the main cause of peeling.
- File the surface of the nail with an emery board or a polishing wedge. You need to remove the first shiny layer from the nail, but don’t go over filing, the nail should be matte.
- Gently remove the cuticles with nippers or a nail drill (what is a Russian manicure)
- Apply the primer and let the product dry.
2. APPLY THE VARNISH WITHOUT EXITING
Another of the main reasons why your polish comes off entirely is coming off when applying the product. It is vital that the nail polish does not touch the skin or the cuticle, it is best to leave a margin of a few millimeters between the nail and the skin.
Sometimes, to make the manicure more beautiful, we want to speed up the gap and get as close to the cuticle as possible. It’s a mistake especially if we don’t have a lot of practice. My recommendation is to leave a little leeway and as we improve the technique we will perfect it.
When the enamel touches the skin, at that time a facelift will be done sooner or later.
3. USE A QUALITY PRODUCT
Maybe you thought that since you started, you can first buy some enamels on a cheap page of dubious origin. Just to test… Error! Cheap is expensive and you better have one firstnail basea E-mail and one topcoat top quality at 20 different colors at low prices. You will waste money and have to buy all the equipment again.
4. DRY/LAMP TIME IS NOT APPROPRIATE
Enamels usually come with instructions that you should read. He will explain to you if they are valid for UV or LE lampD or for both. A higher wattage lamp will always cure better than a lower wattage lamp. Blog sobre Ajedrez
Low wattage lamps need more curing time, don’t skimp on the time if you have skimped on the money when purchasing the lamp.
5. APPLY THIN COATS
Applying thick coats is one of the most common mistakes made by beginners. We want to finish sooner and we think the enamel hardens well, but the truth is it doesn’t. Layers should be thin and even. Luckily, the enamel won’t dry out until you put it in the lamp, so you can go over the brush as many times as you like until remove excess where to stay uniform.
6. Seal the ends
Permanent polish always shrinks, so I recommend sealing the ends before putting your finger in the lamp. This is important for those of you who are starting to know a little trick:
ROUND: For those of you who are just starting out, I always recommend painting one nail at a time. Starting with the little finger, we will paint a layer, we will seal the tip and the lamp about 30 seconds. We repeat the process with the next finger but we will put both in the lamp, until we reach 5 fingers. Let it finally heal two minutes the 5 fingers This way you ensure that they are perfectly hardened and sealed and that the enamel has not shrunk.
7. YOU USE INCOMPATIBLE PRODUCTS.
Although most products are compatible with each other, the one you are using may not be. We have to know our products well and know how they react with each other. For that, we have to do trial and error, observe and practice.
Before taking the plunge, try to have products from the same line as they are specially formulated to work together.
8. THE NAIL YOU ARE WORKING ON IS BIG
Unfortunately there are oily or very wet nails Whatever you do, you’re not going to make the polish last. It usually occurs in people who have problems with sweaty hands or in people with naturally very oily skin. For this, resources can be used like the first acid, which is stronger and dehydrates more. However, this does not guarantee that the enamel will last.
9. CERTAIN SYSTEMIC DISEASES OR CHEMOTHERAPY
Permanent Enamel should not be applied when you are receiving or have recently received chemotherapy or have certain medical conditions.
Between the diseases may present alterations of the nails, we emphasize:
•psoriasis, which is associated with yellowish spots called oil spots or thickening of the nail.
• The lichen planuswhich can affect our nails and give them a “V” shape (so-called pterygium) or partially or totally destroy them.
